About the role
This is a temporary role with an initial duration of at least three months, with a strong likelihood of extension as additional departments undertake similar process documentation initiatives. For the right person who makes a significant impact, there is potential for the role to convert to a direct position and expand to support operations on a broader, possibly national level.
The standard work schedule is approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The specialist reports into Sales Operations leadership (including Sales and Operations Planning) and works very closely with Sales Management and Sales Coordination for project support. The role is highly cross-functional, partnering with Finance, IT, Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Production, Warranty, Marketing, Legal, and other departments.
The current environment has minimal formal SOPs, and much of the knowledge is tribal and passed down verbally, so the role involves extensive interaction with subject matter experts to capture and formalize processes. The position requires a collaborative, humble, and flexible working style, with a focus on building sustainable systems rather than working in isolation.
The broader organization operates in a manufacturing context supporting transit bus products used by public transit agencies, universities, airports, parking shuttle operators, and municipal and government transportation entities.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr.
