Sales Manager- Service/Repair/Modernization (Seattle)
About the Role
TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Sales Manager for Service, Repair, and Modernization in Seattle, WA. This role is responsible for driving revenue, profit margin, and overall sales growth by leading the branch’s sales force across all three lines of business. The Sales Manager will foster a culture of safety, customer satisfaction, and ease of doing business while ensuring sales representatives exceed goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Support a culture of safety throughout the organization and actively participate in the branch safety committee.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships with branch key customers.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the overall market area, including market penetration, volume for different lines of business, competitors’ positions, and strategies.
- Manage and develop branch sales representatives, including setting sales goals, reviewing performance, and providing ongoing training and development.
- Administer the quarterly performance management process and support sales representatives to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Lead business growth and foster relationships with key customers, consultants, and architects.
- Create synergies within all lines of business, including leadership of the NIM process to achieve 100% on-time conversion.
- Promote customer retention by working with other departments to ensure proactive customer assistance.
- Implement and oversee strategic sales initiatives aligned with corporate and regional goals.
- Develop and maintain a consistent and superior brand identity for sales presentations, proposals, and bids.
- Identify sales-skill opportunities and initiate applicable training or coaching.
- Ensure all bids are approved based on established approval levels, including submitting forms for higher-level approvals.
- Monitor sales activity using CRM and approve sales incentives.
- Review and set sales goals in line with budgetary and corporate guidelines, including quarterly performance reviews.
- Strategically review P&L and other financial reports to monitor sales performance and ensure monthly goals are met or exceeded.
- Collaborate with the Branch Manager and other leaders to review and develop sales budgets.
- Review, participate in, and create bidding strategies to ensure profitability.
- Conduct or participate in ITS/factory tours to demonstrate technical competence and secure customer interest.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the market area, including sales backlog, market penetration, outstanding bids, new business opportunities, and staffing requirements.
- Stay familiar with company products by attending training classes and reviewing factory equipment updates.
- Partner with the Branch Manager to ensure alignment on all goals and initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Prior personnel management experience preferred.
- 5+ years of directly related sales experience in the elevator or related industries.
- Ability to review and guide direct reports through contract proposals and business correspondence.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to improve profitability.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
Pay
Salary range: $130,000–$150,000 with additional annual incentive compensation ranging from 0% to 87.5%. The role includes a car allowance and fuel card.
