Sales Manager - Rochester, NY

About the role

As Sales Manager in the Rochester market, you will hunt and prospect new industrial business opportunities using Meyer’s proven sales process. You’ll uncover high-yield customer needs, develop customized chemical programs, and acquire new business.

Responsibilities

• Average 6-8 scheduled sales calls per day
• Grow territory through acquiring new business
• Perform manual and physical tasks daily
• Administrative duties including building calendar, updating notes, and entering sales orders through Oracle NetSuite CRM
• Travel up to 250-mile radius in territory weekly
• Potential for 2 overnights per month

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of quota-carrying sales experience hunting and prospecting new business opportunities at a chemical company or similar industrial industry
• Excellent leadership and ability to work with and indirectly manage sales support colleagues
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Have and maintain a valid driver’s license

Pay

$70,000 base salary + commission

Schedule

• Work in the field
• Company vehicle with fuel card and vehicle maintenance card

Territory coverage: Greater Rochester, Buffalo, and Syracuse.
