Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to generate group and transient revenue, develop new business, and maintain strong client relationships. This role is responsible for managing the sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution while maximizing occupancy, ADR, and overall hotel profitability.
What You’ll Do
- Possess 2–5 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in group and/or corporate settings
- Have experience within a Marriott environment, especially within the Wilmington/Delaware Valley market
- Be familiar with Marriott sales systems (CI/TY, Lightspeed, MGS)
- Show strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Prove the ability to meet or exceed revenue goals
- Be highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented
- Participate in hotel tours and client presentations showcasing our all-suite accommodations and amenities
- Negotiate contracts and pricing in collaboration with Revenue Management
- Utilize Marriott systems (CI/TY, Lightspeed, MGS) to manage pipeline, reporting, and bookings
- Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and community functions
- Partner with operations teams to ensure seamless execution and high guest satisfaction
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
