Sales Manager
About the role
Sappi North America is seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to support continued growth within our specialty papers business.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Promote specialty paper solutions, including grease-resistant and coated products.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market share.
- Develop and execute sales strategies and campaigns.
- Provide technical product support and recommendations.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and pricing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer solutions.
- Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 8+ years of experience managing complex sales cycles and strategic customer relationships.
- Demonstrated success in business development and market expansion.
- Experience selling to packaging converters or industrial manufacturing customers.
- Strong analytical and strategic sales planning skills.
- Knowledge of specialty paper products or related technical products.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
What You'll Bring

Additional Information
- Hybrid role based in the Boston area.
- Two days per week in-office required.
- Approximately 50% domestic travel and up to 5% international travel.
