Sales Manager Responsibilities
- Own and improve the sales process to increase close rates and revenue
- Lead daily sales meetings and manage inbound lead flow
- Recruit, onboard, train, and manage sales reps
- Set clear performance standards and hold the team accountable
- Identify and resolve sales bottlenecks, including stepping in to close high-potential opportunities
- Review sales calls, audit CRM usage, and enforce follow-up quality
- Maintain clean pipelines, forecasting, and performance reporting
- Build and document sales SOPs for scale
- Launch additional sales functions when required to hit revenue targets (e.g., cold callers, BDRs)
- Pursue approved-vendor or franchise opportunities if they materially impact growth
Qualifications
- Have built or scaled a sales team that consistently hit targets
- Manage direct reports in sales for 2+ years
- Sell marketing services, coaching, or similar offers (gym industry experience is a strong plus)
- Are comfortable reviewing call recordings and coaching reps at a granular level
- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Are willing to get your hands dirty early to build something that scales
