Job Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership and Coaching: Lead by example, modeling expected behaviors and enforcing process discipline. Provide hands-on, in-field coaching with sales professionals, build customer relationships, and develop individualized growth plans aligned with product knowledge, selling skills, and Deere certification timelines.
- Performance Management and Accountability: Conduct structured monthly one-on-ones and biannual performance reviews tied to key metrics, including sales activity, certification progress, volume targets, market share, and overall business plan performance.
- Sales Strategy and Team Alignment: Lead regular sales meetings focused on market intelligence, competitive strategy, program effectiveness, and continuous training. Drive consistency by sharing and implementing best practices across the organization.
- Sales Process Execution and Deal Oversight: Enforce a consistent, repeatable sales process that drives financial performance and customer satisfaction. Review quotes and deal packages to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Customer Experience: Partner closely with Parts, Service, Dispatch, and Used Equipment teams to ensure a seamless, high-quality customer experience from initial contact through delivery and post-sale support.
- Talent Management and Inventory Oversight: Lead recruiting, hiring, and development of the sales team in coordination with leadership and corporate recruiting, while also managing whole goods inventory in alignment with corporate guidelines.
Required Qualifications

- Sales Leadership & Coaching: Proven ability to coach, develop, and elevate sales professionals, improving both underperformers and high performers.
- Sales Process Management: Strong adherence to structured sales processes with a focus on consistency, attention to detail, and financial integrity in quoting and deal structure.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver both constructive feedback and team motivation effectively.
- Team Building: Ability to foster a collaborative, accountable team culture aligned to shared goals.
- Industry Experience: Experience in equipment sales, distribution, or a capital goods environment with consultative, relationship-driven sales cycles.
- Technical & Financial Knowledge: Understanding of equipment financing options, including leases, installment contracts, RPOs, Deere Financial, and third-party solutions.
- Systems & Software Proficiency: Experience with CRM tools, JDQuote2, Foresight, Market Share, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret reports, identify trends, and translate data into actionable coaching and process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Product Knowledge: Familiarity with Deere, Allied, and competitive equipment lines, or the ability to quickly develop expertise.
- Education: Post-secondary education; equivalent industry experience strongly valued.
Physical Requirements
- Driving: Must be able to drive and travel in a vehicle. For the purposes of driving, must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Work Flexibility: Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
- Physical Demands: Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. May occasionally require standing or moving between office areas.
