Sales Manager
About the role
Seeking a Sales Manager to lead the Northern, WI market for FCX Performance, a division of Applied Industrial Technologies.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of sales representatives and develop your own account base.
- Establish sales targets, develop strategic plans, analyze performance metrics, and ensure consistent execution of company policies to meet or exceed quotas.
- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor sales staff, providing coaching to improve performance.
- Create and implement sales strategies, quotas, and goals to expand the customer base in the assigned district.
- Lead and develop Sales teams, vendor engagement, and cross-functional activities.
- Show technical capacity/mechanical aptitude, particularly in pumps, instrumentation, and valves.
- Show business acumen and a strategic approach to sales management.
Requirements
- Strong leadership, negotiation skills, and a results-driven attitude.
- Proven experience as a field sales representative.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but equivalent experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
- Experience in Outside Sales/Account Manager/Territory Manager roles within the industrial marketplace is required.
- A background in Sales Management roles is preferred, with demonstrated ability to manage diverse sales teams.
- Background in P & L is helpful.
