The Salvation Army (TSA), Adult Rehabilitation Centers (ARC) offers a no-fee program to assist men & women in completing drug/alcohol rehabilitation. Employees contribute to the program's maintenance and effectiveness, fostering a sense of purpose and opportunity.

Essential Job Duties

  • Work closely with the management team to manage TSA Family Store, meeting sales and income budget expectations.
  • Create a positive and mentoring environment, implementing Work Therapy Assignments (WTA).
  • Take an active role in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, point of sale operations, inventory management, and ARC merchandising standards.
  • Assume responsibility for all day-to-day store operations in the absence of the Store and/or Assistant Manager.
  • Discuss concerns with District Sales Manager.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive store sales and increase profitability.
  • Schedule Store Employees to ensure appropriate coverage in store and donation center.
  • Cook up daily morning and shift change team meetings.
  • Provide coaching, training, and development to Store Employees.
  • Process paperwork per Review Standards, ensuring Time and Attendance compliance.
  • Ensure high levels of Customer and Donor satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Develop strategies to improve service and maximize the customer experience.
  • Support Store Manager to ensure Back Room Processors/Warehouse Associates work effectively and efficiently.
  • Supervise, support, and report on program Beneficiaries if WTA are implemented.
  • Ensure building security during non-operating hours and maintain safety measures.
  • Conduct and record mandatory Weekly Store Meetings.
  • May transfer or relocate to other stores based on business needs.
  • Complete tasks as assigned by the District Sales Manager, Command Retail Directors, and Command Administration.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one-year previous retail experience and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
  • Effective communication skills with management, store employees, customers, and donors.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks, and miscellaneous carts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
