About the role
Cvent is seeking a Sales Executive to join our Event Solutions division. The ideal candidate will own the full sales cycle from lead generation to close, including lead follow-up, demonstrating Cvent solutions, advancing the sales cycle, and negotiating/closing deals.
Responsibilities
- Owning the full sales cycle from lead generation to close, including lead follow-up, demonstrating Cvent solutions, advancing the sales cycle, and negotiating/closing deals.
- Carry a new-booked business (NBB) quota, and execute solution-selling skills.
- Manage Sales Development Representatives to ensure appropriate amount of pipeline is generated.
- Develop and actively pursue a list of targeted Key Accounts by creating individual plans of action to penetrate these accounts.
- Call on and develop relationships with new prospects in an effort to meet and exceed individual and department revenue expectations.
- Present products and services to new corporate accounts in your assigned territory.
- Exceed established new business bookings (NBB) targets for software sales.
- Accurately forecast sales opportunities in Salesforce.com.
- Effectively and accurately manage personal revenue pipeline to maximize all new business opportunities.
- Work with Account Management and Client Services teams to ensure complete customer satisfaction with the Cvent product and organization.
- Ensure relationships with key decision-makers for accounts that will provide new business are continuously developed and relationships are strengthened and grown.
- Attend and engage in regularly scheduled team meetings and 1:1s.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 4 years of prior revenue generating software sales experience (more experience is desired).
- Industry experience in one or more of the following areas is highly preferred: SaaS, mobile apps, and analytics.
- Highly motivated and goal-oriented.
- Able to integrate knowledge across disciplines to include cold calling, consultative selling, product demonstrations, closing contracts, operation/process flow, and product function.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in sales, particularly in the software and/or SaaS space.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
- Experience in managing and developing a sales pipeline.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Exceptional sales and negotiation skills.

- Strong understanding of the event marketing and management industry.

Pay
The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $50,000 - $83,000 annually + commission depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, relevant experience, and location.
