About the role

Meter is building the modern networking infrastructure that businesses like Lyft and Reddit rely on to stay connected. As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will partner with our Enterprise Sales team to bring better networks to more customers by using your technical expertise to win over the hearts and minds of IT and network engineers alike.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with the Sales team, including both sales reps and leaders, to support and advise.
  • Work with the Sales Engineering team to design and build the technical engine needed to compete against legacy vendors in a market that hasn't seen a successful new entrant in decades.
  • Lead technical discovery calls to understand customer pain points and frustrations with their current legacy solutions.
  • Deliver world-class demonstrations that inspire and get buy-in across multiple stakeholders.
  • Build solutions, remove obstacles, and close deals through collaboration with customers and partners.
  • Partner directly with Account Executives to create urgency and drive deals forward.
  • Create and maintain internal training, design assets for Sales, and standardize our approach to more complex technical use cases.
  • Translate customer feedback from complex deployments directly to the Product team to influence the hardware and software product roadmap.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge in TCP/IP, 802.11ax/be, TLS, DHCP, DNS, NAT, 802.1X, VPNs, SD-WAN, IDS/IPS, Multicast, OSPF, BGP & EVPN-VXLAN.
  • Highly motivated and passionate about networking, with a desire to disrupt traditional enterprise networking practices.
  • Experience in high-growth companies as a high-performing Sales Engineer.
  • Professional development through completion of relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, CWDP, CWSP, CWDE, Network+, Security+).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise networking roles.
  • Proven ability to lead technical discovery calls and close deals.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
