About the role
Meter is building the modern networking infrastructure that businesses like Lyft and Reddit rely on to stay connected. As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will partner with our Enterprise Sales team to bring better networks to more customers by using your technical expertise to win over the hearts and minds of IT and network engineers alike.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with the Sales team, including both sales reps and leaders, to support and lead technical discovery calls.
- Design and build technical solutions for prospects that help our Sales team win deals.
- Lead technical discovery calls to understand customer pain points and frustrations with their current legacy solutions.
- Deliver world-class demonstrations that inspire and get buy-in across multiple stakeholders.
- Remove obstacles and close deals through collaboration with customers and partners.
- Support the Sales team by creating urgency and driving deals forward.
- Create and maintain internal training materials, asset libraries, and technical guides for common Enterprise use cases.
- Translate customer feedback into product requirements for the Product team.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge in TCP/IP, 802.11ax/be, TLS, DHCP, DNS, NAT, 802.1X, VPNs, SD-WAN, IDS/IPS, Multicast, OSPF, BGP & EVPN-VXLAN.
- Experience with standard industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, CWDP, CWSP, CWDE, JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIE, Network+, Security+.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for networking and a desire to disrupt traditional enterprise networking practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise networking roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in sales and technical roles.
- Experience with enterprise networking technologies and protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
