About the role
Meter is building the modern networking infrastructure that businesses like Lyft and Reddit rely on to stay connected. As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will partner with our Enterprise Sales team to bring better networks to more customers by using your technical expertise to win over the hearts and minds of IT and network engineers alike.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with the Sales team, including both sales reps and leaders, to support and advise on technical matters.
- Work with the Sales Engineering team to design and build technical solutions for prospects that help our Sales team win deals.
- Lead technical discovery calls to understand customer pain points and frustrations with legacy solutions.
- Deliver world-class demonstrations that inspire and get buy-in from multiple stakeholders.
- Build solutions, remove obstacles, and close deals through collaboration with customers and partners.
- Partner directly with Account Executives to create urgency and drive deals forward.
- Create and maintain internal training materials, asset designs, and standardization for complex technical use cases.
- Translate customer feedback into product requirements for the Product team, influencing the hardware and software product roadmap.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge in TCP/IP, 802.11ax/be, TLS, DHCP, DNS, NAT, 802.1X, VPNs, SD-WAN, IDS/IPS, Multicast, OSPF, BGP & EVPN-VXLAN.
- Experience with standard industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, CWDP, CWSP, CWDE, JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIE, Network+, Security+.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remove roadblocks to customer success.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise networking roles.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth through technical sales and customer engagement.
- Experience with enterprise networking technologies and protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and disruption.

Pay
The estimated base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $190,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to earn commissions and to participate in Meter’s equity plan.
