Sales Engineer - Remote (USA based only)
PEL Power, a sister company of PEL Pakistan, is expanding its presence in the U.S. power and electrical industry. With headquarters in California and New York, PEL Power is focused on serving the U.S. market with transformers and other electrical power products. This is an exciting opportunity to join PEL at an important stage of its U.S. market expansion, working directly with U.S. utilities, EPCs, consultants, and industrial customers.
About the role
The purpose of this role is to drive sales growth and market expansion of power products in the United States by combining technical expertise with commercial strategy. The Sales Engineer acts as a key link between customers and internal teams, ensuring effective solution development, successful bid execution, and high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across utilities, EPC contractors, consultants, and industrial clients in the U.S.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads and strategic accounts.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor positioning.
- Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Lead technical discussions, product presentations, and negotiations with clients.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Sales & Technical Support
- Serve as a technical advisor to customers, clearly communicating product value propositions and solutions.
- Support bid/no-bid decisions based on technical and commercial evaluation.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals in compliance with U.S. standards and client requirements.
- Manage customer inquiries, RFQs, and tender submissions.
- Contract & Order Management
- Review contracts, identify deviations, and ensure alignment with company policies.
- Coordinate internally with engineering, production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure timely and accurate order execution.
- Monitor project progress, delivery schedules, inspections, and documentation.
- Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all products and proposals comply with applicable U.S. standards (e.g., ANSI, IEEE, NEMA, UL where applicable).
- Adhere to all relevant export regulations, trade compliance requirements, and company policies.
- Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions using CRM systems (Salesforce).
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence to management.
- Support documentation, reporting, and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation required.
- 2-5 years of experience in the field of transformers, Switchgear & Energy Meters.
- U.S. market experience preferred (experience working with U.S. utilities, EPCs, or consultants is a strong advantage).
Skills

Pay
Approximately USD $108,000 – $132,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus annual performance-based bonus. Salary is quoted on a gross basis and subject to standard U.S. payroll deductions.
