Sales Engineer I - Security
About the Role
The ideal candidate for this Sales Engineer role will be responsible for actively promoting and selling high-value, integrated, bundled, and stand-alone systems and/or equipment, along with other related advanced technology solutions within the Company's product portfolio. This individual will engage closely with contractors, consultants, and customers to understand their technical requirements, provide tailored solutions, and drive business growth by effectively communicating the value and benefits of the products.
The role demands a strong technical background combined with excellent sales acumen to build and maintain long-term relationships, support project implementation, and contribute to the overall success of the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Promote and sell high-value, integrated, bundled, and stand-alone systems and equipment.
- Engage with contractors, consultants, and customers to understand technical requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Communicate the value and benefits of products to drive business growth.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
- Support project implementation and contribute to the success of the sales team.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in business, engineering, and/or other applicable technology space required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1 to 5 years of related work experience preferred.
- Preference for experience selling to the HVAC Mechanical industry.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of applicable building codes and plan and spec fundamentals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and SalesForce CRM (preferred).
- Highly motivated and an independent thinker.
- Strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to deal with a large volume of work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
Pay
The expected pay range for this position is $69,878–$93,170 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Individual compensation is determined based on experience, education, certifications, skills, internal equity, and market conditions. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for commission and/or incentive compensation based on individual performance and applicable plan terms.
