Sales Director, Retail
Job Summary
The Sales Director, Retail is responsible for driving revenue growth and building strong relationships within a designated U.S. territory, with a focus on retail independent pharmacy owners. This individual partners with a high-performing sales team to identify and cultivate new business opportunities across ScriptPro’s full portfolio of pharmacy automation solutions. They engage directly with owners and key decision-makers, craft compelling proposals, and leverage financial modeling and business case development to support sales efforts.

Shift
General business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm CST. This is a remote position located within the designated service region. Employees residing in the Kansas City metro may have on-campus requirements according to departmental policy and business need.
Scope of the Role
- Identify, prospect, and cultivate new business opportunities through a combination of in-person outreach, networking, trade shows, and virtual engagement within an assigned U.S. territory
- Learn each pharmacy’s business model, challenges, and potential solution options
- Develop and present comprehensive proposals to prospective and existing customers
- Apply financial modeling to build business cases and clearly demonstrate return on investment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer account related activities
- Contribute to the development and execution of market-focused sales strategies by providing field insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback
- Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas by driving new business and expanding existing accounts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
- 5+ years of sales experience, outside sales preferred
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals and driving results
- In-depth knowledge of the U.S. independent retail pharmacy market, including operations and workflows
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Experience with Salesforce preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex concepts, including financial impact and ROI models
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across cross-functional teams and organizational levels
- Demonstrated ability to apply active listening, ask effective questions, and close business opportunities
- Strong customer focus with the ability to balance customer needs and business objectives while representing the organization professionally
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess opportunities and communicate value through financial and cost-justification tools
- Covered organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage follow-up activities and multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment
