Accountabilities
- Identify, prospect, and cultivate new business opportunities through networking, trade shows, in-person meetings, and virtual engagement.
- Understand customer business models, operational challenges, and technology needs to recommend appropriate solutions.
- Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and business cases that demonstrate customer value and return on investment.
- Apply financial modeling and cost-justification tools to support purchasing decisions.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification through negotiation and closing.
- Maintain accurate customer records, pipeline activity, and sales forecasts using CRM tools.
- Provide market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to support sales strategy development.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful customer engagement and account growth.
- Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales targets while representing the organization professionally.
Requirements
- An experienced sales professional with a strong understanding of consultative selling, relationship management, and business development.
- Success in this role requires industry knowledge, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate complex solutions and financial value to senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in an outside sales or territory management role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and driving measurable revenue growth.
- Strong knowledge of the U.S. independent retail pharmacy market, including workflows and operational challenges.
- Experience developing proposals, financial models, and ROI-based business cases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across customer and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to use active listening, discovery questions, and consultative sales techniques to close opportunities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate opportunities and communicate business value.
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred.
- Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative sales team.
- Able to work remotely with reliable high-speed internet, a professional home office environment, and participation in video meetings.
