General responsibilities
- Properly manage an established sales territory
- Sell, service, and account manage
- Handle customer related issues promptly and courteously
- Service On-Premise accounts (restaurants, bars, etc.)
Position Duties
- Territory Management: Ensure consistent customer contact
- Plan and execute sales initiatives
- Handle all customer related issues in a prompt and friendly manner
- Selling: Full understanding of products and pricing schedules
- Make effective sales presentations
- Achieve assigned company objectives and grow business
- Identify and nurture new and undersold accounts
- Resources: Use all available POS to enhance selling efforts
- Knowledge of all deals, programming, and initiatives
- Servicing: Follow necessary steps when making sales calls
- Perform reliable and consistent customer service to accounts
- Face to face interaction with customers
- Administration: Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Handle all paperwork issues in a proper and timely manner
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related industry experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Goals and results driven
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation and proof of insurance
- Local candidates preferred (no relocation package)
- Prior sales experience and/or prior wine and spirits industry sales preferred
- Availability to work outside 8-5 schedule, as many accounts will be accessible best in early evening hours and occasional weekend events
- Self-motivated, disciplined, goal-oriented, timely, and able to prioritize
- Ability to connect well with a large range of buyer types
- Professional written, oral, and electronic communication skills
- Ability to lift 54 pounds from the ground and above 60 inches
- Team player attitude and actions
