Sales Clerk (Retail)

About the role

Full or part-time position at Below Deck Bottle Shop in Conshohocken, PA. We are looking for an ideal candidate who possesses a thorough understanding of craft beer and wine (training will be provided). The role focuses on creating an interactive, engaging, and reassuring store experience while maximizing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Build customer confidence by making the store experience interactive and engaging.
• Uncover customer needs and offer tailored solutions.
• Maintain the visual appeal of the store, including stocking and organizing displays.
• Develop positive customer relationships and ensure quick, efficient, and pleasant service.
• Operate the cash register, promote sales, and assist customers.
• Perform quality control, processing, pricing, and stocking of merchandise in the stock room.
• Resolve customer complaints and handle merchandise returns professionally.
• Follow and ensure compliance with all safety rules and use appropriate safety equipment.
• Lift and/or move heavy objects or assist in this process as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous retail or customer service-oriented experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to listen carefully and actively.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• General physical abilities to perform clerical, cashier, merchandising, and supervisory functions.
• Availability for flexible scheduling.
