Sales Clerk (Retail)

About the role

Full or part-time position at Below Deck Bottle Shop in Conshohocken, PA. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of craft beer and wine (training provided) and be familiar with current trends and upcoming releases.

Responsibilities

• Build customer confidence by making the store experience interactive, engaging, and reassuring
• Maximize customer experience by uncovering needs and offering solutions
• Maintain the visual appeal of the store
• Develop positive customer relationships
• Greet and assist customers quickly, efficiently, and pleasantly
• Stock and organize displays, ensuring merchandise is presented professionally
• Operate the cash register, promote sales, and assist customers
• Perform quality control, processing, pricing, and stocking in the stock room
• Resolve customer complaints and handle merchandise returns professionally
• Follow and ensure compliance with all safety rules and use appropriate safety equipment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous retail or customer service-oriented experience preferred
• Strong listening and active communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Physical ability to perform clerical, cashier, merchandising, and supervisory functions
• Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects or assist in this process
• Availability for flexible scheduling

Pay

$15.00 - $19.00 per hour
