About the role
The Optical Technician/Sales Associate will deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience, maximizing retail sales while supporting patients' medical needs.
Responsibilities
- Execute the Total Patient Experience to build strong relationships with all patients
- Determine patient needs and exceed expectations by selling appropriate products
- Select and fit frames based on style and measurements
- Operate and calibrate lensometers
- Recommend and educate on lenses, coatings, and frames
- Accurately measure and dispense glasses and contact lens orders
- Repair and adjust patient frames
Requirements
- Previous medical office experience preferred
- Experience in ophthalmic field strongly preferred
- Minimum of 1 year customer/patient interaction experience
- Favorable background check results
- High school diploma or GED
- ABO and NCLE certifications preferred
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Visual and auditory acuity
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Occasional driving and climbing may be required
