The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is hiring Part-Time Sales Associates – Intermittent Liquor Store Clerks (ILSC) to join Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

About the role

As a Part-Time Sales Associate, you’ll engage with customers, assist with sales, and contribute to a positive shopping atmosphere in a fast-paced retail setting. These positions are eligible for Affordable Care Act / Bronze Plan medical benefits from the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, helping shoppers find what they need.
  • Manage sales transactions with a computerized cash register.
  • Unload shipments, stock shelves, and set up product displays.
  • Receive, assemble, and pack wholesale customer orders, loading them into vehicles.
  • Safely lift products – occasionally overhead or from a squatting position from the floor – weighing 30 to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Keep the store clean and organized.
  • Utilize scanners, box cutters, dollies, carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
  • Follow all legal guidelines to ensure alcohol is sold only to customers who are legally permitted to buy it.
  • Work in a friendly, team-oriented environment.

Schedule

Permanent part-time employment with preferred availability of 22 – 30 hours per week. Flexible shifts are available, typically ranging from 4 – 7.5 hours per shift. A minimum of 13 hours per week is required, with the opportunity to work up to 32 hours per week.

  • Availability on a rotating basis during the week (daytime and evening hours) and weekends (daytime and evening hours).
  • Store hours: Monday – Saturday, 8:45am – 9:30pm; Sunday, 10:45am – 7:30pm.
  • Schedule details may change due to operational needs.

This store is situated within Noble Manor, accessible via public transportation (route #31), near 376 East/West, with free parking for staff and nearby food options.

Location

You will be headquartered at Store #0290 but may be assigned to work in other stores within the county or district based on operational needs. Applications are non-transferrable.

Pay

The starting salary for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum rate and is not negotiable.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions, including lifting 30–60 pounds and standing for extended periods.
  • Must pass a background investigation; felony convictions within the last ten years disqualify applicants.
