Sales Associate II (Keyholder) - Full Time

About the role

The Sales Associate II serves customers by displaying, promoting, sizing, pricing, and tagging merchandise in our Baldwinsville Thrifty Shopper. This position assists store management with running an efficient and service-oriented store, promotes the Rescue Mission while building relationships with customers, and provides excellent customer service.

Responsible for opening and closing procedures, cash reconciliation at the end of shifts in the absence of the store manager and/or assistant store manager.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, provide information, and answer questions
• Display merchandise by stocking shelves, counters, racks, and tables
• Promote sales by setting up displays, making announcements, and informing customers of special sales
• Process payments via cash, checks, sales discounts, and credit cards
• Maintain a clean and orderly store environment
• Contribute with a team-oriented attitude
• Comply with procedures and policies to create a safe environment
• Identify, report, and assist in solving store issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• 1-3 years of retail experience preferred
• Previous customer-service experience
• Previous cash register and reconciliation experience preferred
• Emotionally mature and able to handle stress professionally and in public
• Ability to work in an unsupervised atmosphere
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and days
• Customer-service oriented with excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to stand for long periods, visually check color-coded racks and sizing, and perform bending and lifting

Pay

$16.30 per hour
