Sales Associate II (Keyholder) - Full Time

About the role

The Sales Associate II serves customers by displaying, promoting, sizing, pricing, and tagging merchandise. This position assists store management with running an efficient and service-oriented store. Promotes Rescue Mission while building relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service by greeting the customers with a smile and hello, providing information, and answering questions
• Responsible for opening and closing procedures in the absence of store manager and/or assistant store manager
• Responsible for cash reconciliation at the end of shifts in the absence of store manager and/or assistant store manager
• Displays merchandise by stocking shelves, counters, racks and tables, as needed
• Promotes sales by setting up displays, making announcements as directed by the supervisor and informing customers of the special sales
• Obtains payments by processing cash, checks, sales discounts, and credit cards
• Maintains the clean and orderly condition of the store
• Contributes by displaying a team attitude
• Creates a safe environment by complying with procedures and policies
• Assists in identifying, reporting and solving issues to the store management

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED certificate required
• 1-3 years retail experience preferred
• Previous customer-service experience
• Previous cash register and reconciliation experience preferred
• Emotionally mature and able to handle stress professionally and in public

• Ability to work in an unsupervised atmosphere
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and days
• Customer-service oriented
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Manages time efficiently
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, visually check color coded racks and sizing by number, bending and lifting will be required
• Nights and weekends required

Pay

$16.30 per hour
