Sales Associate FT

Department: Retail Store | Reports to: Store Manager | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt | Position Type: Full-Time

About the Role

Sales associates work closely with customers to provide product knowledge, including features, warranties, special discounts, and additional details. They maintain the store’s visual appearance, manage displays, and stay updated on trends and competition. Associates build long-term customer relationships to achieve sales goals and represent the store positively.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, determine their needs/wants, and recommend merchandise
• Advise customers on product utilization and care
• Answer customer questions or concerns promptly and professionally
• Stock and recover merchandise
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed
• Ensure proper signage is in place throughout the assigned department
• Use computers to check prices and inventories
• Assist with inventory preparation
• Create special orders as needed
• Maintain safety awareness of potential hazards for employees and customers
• Handle customer complaints, questions, or concerns professionally
• Bring in carts from outside
• Perform additional duties as assigned
