Sales Associate (Corinth)

JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Associate provides excellent customer service, maintains a clean sales floor, and assists in achieving production goals under the supervision of the TLC and/or ATL.

JOB DUTIES

• Greets customers promptly and courteously, assisting with merchandise inquiries and suggesting sales.
• Affirms the use of Goodwill's Guiding Principles.
• Maintains accurate counts and achieves MGI production goals of (14) racks or carts per day.
• Plants merchandise correctly on the sales floor and rotates items as needed.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and properly displayed sales floor to maximize profits.
• Maintains dressing rooms free of dust, dirt, fallen merchandise, and clutter; removes hangers from cash wrap.
• Adheres to MGI and personnel policies, follows safety practices, and reports safety hazards.
• Reports all incidents of theft to a management team member or Loss Prevention Manager.
• Assists in cash register operations as assigned.
• Performs other duties as directed by the TLC and/or ATL.

PRODUCTION GOALS

The Sales Associate ensures accurate counts while achieving and exceeding the MGI production goal of (14) racks or carts per day.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift up to 60lbs., bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to push, pull, or reach.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Variations of temperature.

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS

• Develops and maintains effective working relationships with TLC, ATL, team members, customers, and donors.
• Maintains a positive, friendly attitude and neat, clean appearance.
• Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing, performs basic mathematical skills, and attends in-service training as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs. on a regular basis.
• Ensures accurate counts and achieves MGI production goals of (14) racks or carts per day.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends/ flexible schedule.
