Sales Associate

About the role

The Sales Associate supports the smooth operation of the retail store by stocking inventory, maintaining store cleanliness, providing excellent customer service, and handling financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily activities to ensure efficient store operations.
• Stock shelves and monitor inventory levels.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and address customer concerns.
• Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Practice and exhibit proper customer service and suggestive selling techniques.
• Comply with company uniform policy.
• Understand and follow clocking in and out procedures on the store's computer system.
• Operate cash register, process SNAP purchases, follow cash control policy, perform safe drop procedures, sell and cash lottery and lotto tickets, beer, wine, tobacco, and money orders.
• Complete a certified alcohol sellers' training program.

Requirements

• One or more years of experience working in a retail environment (preferred).
• Active listening and ability to demonstrate ongoing value.
• Ability to take initiative, multitask, and prioritize.
• Operational excellence and time management skills.
• Must be able to lift, stand, and remain active for the duration of the shift, with frequent movement around the store.
• Must have a form of communication to be reached.

Pay

Hourly range reflects the company’s good-faith estimate at the time of posting and applies only to this market. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience and business needs.
