Sales Associate

About the role

The Sales Associate supports the smooth operation of the retail store by stocking inventory, maintaining store cleanliness, providing excellent customer service, and handling financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily activities to ensure efficient store operations.
• Stock shelves and monitor inventory levels.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and address customer concerns.
• Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Perform tasks in compliance with company uniform policy and timekeeping procedures.
• Operate cash register, handle SNAP purchases, cash control, safe drops, lottery/lotto tickets, beer, wine, tobacco, and money order sales.
• Complete certified alcohol sellers' training program.

Requirements

• One or more years of experience in a retail environment (preferred).
• Active listening and ability to demonstrate ongoing value.
• Ability to take initiative, multitask, and prioritize tasks.
• Operational excellence and strong time management skills.
• Must practice and exhibit proper customer service and suggestive selling techniques.
• Must be able to lift, stand, and remain active for the duration of the shift with frequent movement around the store.
• Must have a reliable form of communication.
• Must comply with clocking in and out on the store’s computer system.

Pay
