IT’SUGAR is a rapidly expanding candy retailer with over 100 locations nationwide, offering a fun, colorful, and humorous shopping experience. The company is seeking a dynamic Retail Sales Associate—dubbed a “SUGARTAINER”—to deliver an exceptional customer experience, maintain store visual standards, and embody the brand’s core values of positivity, playfulness, presence, and making a difference.

Responsibilities

• Laugh out loud, dance to the music, and provide a humorous escape for customers.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Follow the IT’SUGARTAINMENT engagement model by setting the stage, welcoming, engaging, entertaining, and thanking each customer.
• Assist customers with requests and inquiries.
• Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and meets visual standards.
• Operate the POS/register to accurately cash out customers.
• Maximize store operations by arranging merchandise displays according to visual guidelines.
• Assist in setting up special events and promotions.
• Understand and communicate loss‑prevention policies and issues with the Store Manager.
• Perform operational duties such as sales‑floor, back‑room, and restroom maintenance, cleaning, and mopping.
• Represent core values: Positive, Playful, Present, and a Difference Maker.
• Display enthusiasm and cheerfulness while collaborating with the team.
• Achieve sales goals.
• Follow through on customer requests, suggest additional products, and use selling skills to explain benefits, features, prices, quality, and value.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No retail experience required.
• Optimistic, outgoing, and enthusiastic personality.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability and willingness to use a POS/register and operate office equipment.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Capable of independently lifting/moving up to 25 lb.
• Capable of lifting/moving up to 50 lb with assistance.
