About the Role

Casa de Montecristo provides adult cigar consumers with a premier experience across multiple U.S. locations, featuring premium cigars, modern lounges, walk‑in humidors, and full bars. The Sales Associate cultivates strong guest relationships, delivers operational excellence, and acts as a brand ambassador to achieve high standards of results.

Responsibilities

• Provide a world‑class guest experience in the humidor and smoking lounges through exemplary service and selling skills.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, acting as a trusted Casa de Montecristo tobacconist.
• Proactively communicate product features, benefits, and promotional information.
• Demonstrate a tenacious drive for results and consistently exceed sales and KPI goals.
• Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Casa de Montecristo products.
• Assist in the complete operations of the store, executing corporate initiatives efficiently and resource‑wise.
• Follow all Casa de Montecristo policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and state/local regulations.
• Maintain visual and cleanliness standards to support the brand image.
• Ensure a comfortable, responsible, and safe environment for guests and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or other service‑centric environment.
• POS and/or computer proficiency.
• Cigar knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong work ethic.
• Hands‑on team player with passion for delivering a stellar guest experience.
• Track record of meeting challenging sales and operational goals.
• Demonstrated flexibility and emotional intelligence to adapt to frequently changing business conditions.

Work Environment / Conditions

The employee is regularly exposed to smoke or airborne particles, occasionally to wet or humid conditions, and works in a moderate noise level environment.

Physical Demands

The role requires standing, walking, using hands, reaching with arms, and talking or hearing. Frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or sitting is required. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 35 pounds and possess the ability to adjust visual focus as needed.
