Sales Assistant

Pay: £8.00 per hour (ages 16–17), £12.71 per hour (ages 18+).

About the role

Your local store is looking for a Sales Assistant for 8 hours per week. Every visit to our store is a chance to make someone’s day—from the first hello to the final thank you. Our Sales Assistants are the foundation of our stores, creating great experiences by offering support, guidance, and inspiration to ensure every customer leaves with exactly what they came for.

Responsibilities

• Customer Experience: Be customer obsessed, consistently considering the impact of your actions on the customer experience and striving to deliver joyful interactions.
• Tills: Provide a friendly and efficient checkout experience, ensuring items are packed carefully and customers leave confident in their purchases.
• Shop Floor: Help shoppers find what they’re looking for—and maybe even something they didn’t know they needed—by offering knowledgeable and genuine service.
• Hosting:
  • Use iPad systems to place orders for home delivery when items aren’t available on shelves.
  • Deliver our Made to Measure service, helping create bespoke curtains and blinds tailored to shoppers’ needs.
  • Style key areas, such as bedding displays, to inspire customers and allow them to feel fabrics and find the perfect pieces.
• Stock & Delivery:
  • Handle deliveries, check stock, and replenish the shop floor, including some heavy lifting.
  • Maintain displays, update pricing, and recover the store after busy periods.
  • Ensure products are easy to find, well-presented, and ready for customers.
