Sales Application Engineer
About the role
The Angst+Pfister Group is a leading global and innovative developer and manufacturer of sealing, vibration control, and sensing technology with over 2,000 employees in 24 countries on 3 continents. We are rapidly expanding our new US entity and are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Application Engineer (SAE) to join our dynamic Sales Team.
Responsibilities
- Generate and develop new business with new customers in your designated territory.
- Be responsible for the key account management of our large existing customers.
- Win new customers for our sensor product portfolio in industrial, medical, and transportation markets.
- Leverage existing customer relationships to increase our current business partnerships and create new business relationships.
- Launch new products in close coordination with our product management and product development teams.
- Maintain direct customer contact and relationship management.
- Provide technical support to our customers and understand the applications and requirements of sensors.
Requirements
- You have a degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or physics. Alternatively, you have years of successful experience as a developer, product manager, applications engineer, or technical sales representative in the sensor industry.
- You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in the sensor industry.
- You have expertise selling pressure or flow sensors (or sensor components).
Qualifications
- You are enthusiastic about independent, technical, and success-oriented work in harmony with our corporate culture.
- You have experience with sales tracking software.
- You have strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- You have excellent organizational skills.
- You have the ability to overcome commercial and technical objections from potential clients/customers.
- You have the ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables.
