Sales and Use Tax Manager

Responsibilities
- Work on multiple complex tax engagements
- Contribute to the delivery of innovative sales and use tax planning ideas for diverse clients
- Manage and mentor a team of sales and use tax professionals
- Lead projects and teams in complex Indirect tax audits, managed audits, and recovery of tax overpayments (reverse audits)
- Prepare complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries
- Identify and analyze complex tax issues for a variety of entities and their affiliates
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA, CMI, or JD
- 5+ years of state and local tax experience in a public accounting firm, tax services firm, or similar industry
- Experience with a focus on indirect (sales & use) tax compliance and consulting
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills
- Proven ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
Benefits
At Weaver, we offer a competitive compensation range of $120,000 to $175,000 in the California and New York Metropolitan areas, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, flexible scheduled time off, minimum of 56 hours of sick and safe leave, 11 holidays, and 2 scheduled recharge days. Pay
A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $175,000 in the California and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
