Sales and Production Worker

About the role

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods, we provide financial support to assist men and women with various social and spiritual issues. The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities, offering a clean and healthy living environment, nutritious meals, work therapy, recreational activities, counseling, and spiritual guidance. Our goal is to develop life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. This position supports the work therapy program by demonstrating professional conduct and work habits.

Responsibilities

• Aid in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
• Assist with store operations as needed.
• Serve all customers courteously and efficiently.
• Treat all donations and donors with care and respect.
• Handle merchandise according to proper categories and colorization.
• Maintain the store’s stock levels and ensure it is “ragged out” as per the “ARC COMMAND RAG OUT CALENDAR.”
• Clean and maintain the store property.
• Report any theft, customer complaints, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Comply with store policies and procedures.
• Support the work therapy program by setting a positive example for beneficiaries.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English for interactions with supervisors, employees, beneficiaries, and customers.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to follow directions and understand tasks.
