About the role
The Sales & Events Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for driving revenue and facility utilization while mentoring and supporting the coordinators who plan community programming.
Responsibilities
- Coaching & Advocacy: Champion and mentor Lifestyle and Events Coordinators, providing administrative backing, resources, and leadership guidance.
- Operational Lifeline: Work with coordinators during major community program planning, streamlining logistics and balancing workloads.
- Strategic Marketing: Partner with the Communications Manager to produce high-quality marketing materials and drive attendance.
- Brand Ambassador: Greet and welcome members and guests, facilitating New Member Orientations.
- Drive Revenue: Prospect, pitch, and sell events, maximizing facility utilization.
- Asset Optimization: Develop innovative strategies to maximize club facility rentals.
- F&B Collaboration: Align event sales with culinary and service capabilities, ensuring high-quality execution.
- Seamless Operations: Coordinate with F&B leadership for successful event execution.
- Event Execution & Floor Management: Oversee event lifecycle, provide support during major events, and ensure quality control.
- Daily Operations, Budgeting & Tech: Assist in maintaining budgets, managing contracts, and utilizing technology tools.
Requirements
- Previous experience in active event sales, revenue generation, and client relationship management.
- Progressive leadership experience in hospitality sales, luxury event planning, high-end country clubs, or resort operations.
- Proven experience in activity/event budgeting, P&L tracking, forecasting, and vendor contract negotiations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, support, and develop administrative or coordinating staff.
- Personal computer proficiency, including comfort with Microsoft Office applications and specialized club management systems.
- Banquet set-up, F&B collaboration, and luxury operations experience preferred.
