Summary
Account Manager sales products to all existing and new Chain Accounts in the New York Metro area by performing the following duties.Essential duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for account sales strategies, Promotional Activity calendars and volume forecasts
- Mets / surpasses assigned quarterly and yearly volume goals
- Makes Sales pitches / presentations at headquarter level and store level
- Autorizes and maintains all new / current products
- Achieves goals and objectives communicated either written and/or verbally by management
- Responsible for the updates and maintenance of all Vendor Forms, pricing, Promos, etc.
- Gains and coordinates promotional activity and flyers with all accounts
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, and other sources
- Opens new stores/locations in the assigned territory
- Fills empty shelves with product in back-stock before placing the order
- Visits / contacts every buyer every 2 weeks
- Responds to chain customer inquiries, issues, complaints and opportunities
- Coodinates and reviews emergency orders, demos, store resets with DSD Sales Manager
- Adjusts Chain Account errors and complaints
- Maintains and increases secondary displays for high-volume/featured products
- Fills empty shelves with product in back-stock before placing the order
- Displays and/or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features
- Attends to all Store setups / resets
- Reports any issues/opportunities (e.g.: product quality, new competitors, stores closings, new stores, upcoming events, anniversaries)
- Ensures that financially all account are up-date. Consults with Accounts-receivable Manager and DSD Sales Manager
- Takes temperature refrigeration unit reading at store level and records it on order sheet
- Maintains his Files, Binder and File Box neatly organized and updated monthly
- Prepares reports of business transactions and submits expense accounts monthly
- Attends to all Sales meetings
- Abides with company’s dress-code during working hours
- Follows all Employee handbook guidelines
