Sales Account Manager
About the role
The Account Manager position at LaForce is focused on building strong relationships with general contractors, identifying new business opportunities, and driving the success of construction projects in the Chicago area.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with general contractors to strengthen partnerships and position LaForce as a trusted resource.
- Analyze bids and develop winning strategies to ensure project margins align with company goals.
- Scout out potential projects, follow up on quotes, and maintain a steady pipeline of opportunities.
- Structure daily and weekly activities to prioritize face-to-face customer development and provide technical solutions to field challenges.
- Expand relationships by introducing contractors to LaForce's full range of products and services.
- Attend industry meetings and events to showcase LaForce's reputation for excellence.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales, construction, or a related field (1-2 years preferred).
- 2-5 years of military experience may substitute for relevant sales experience.
- Strong analytical thinking ability to evaluate bids, interpret technical documents, and make strategic decisions.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication, negotiation, and building connections across diverse audiences.
Qualifications
- Results-driven professional with a passion for building relationships and solving challenges.
- Experience in outside sales, construction, or a related field.
- Ability to communicate effectively and present ideas persuasively.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to manage daily and weekly activities.
