About the role

LaForce, a leading provider of doors, hardware, and building solutions, is seeking an Account Manager to join our team at our Austin team. This position is all about building connections with general contractors, uncovering new business opportunities, and driving the success of exciting construction projects across the region.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with general contractors, building and strengthening partnerships to position LaForce as their trusted resource.
• Analyze bids and leverage knowledge to develop winning strategies, ensuring project margins align with company goals.
• Scope out work, follow up on quotes, and research new projects to keep a steady pipeline of opportunities moving forward.
• Structure daily and weekly activities to prioritize face-to-face customer development through organization and planning.
• Provide technical solutions to field challenges as trust is built, solidifying your role as a go‑to resource for clients.
• Manage small‑scale job estimates and expand relationships by introducing contractors to LaForce’s full range of products and services.
• Attend industry meetings and events as a company representative, showcasing LaForce’s reputation for excellence.

Qualifications

• Results‑driven professional who blends technical expertise with exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (e.g., 1‑2 years in outside sales, construction, or a related field).
• 2‑5 years of military experience considered as a substitute for relevant sales experience.
• Strong analytical thinking to evaluate bids, interpret technical documents, and make strategic decisions impacting clients and the company.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting ideas, negotiating with clients, and building connections across diverse audiences, from top management to public groups.
