Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage pharmaceutical customer accounts to meet sales targets and budget goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, prospecting, and industry networking.
- Maintain and grow existing relationships by understanding regulatory and operational needs and delivering tailored machinery solutions.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, validation, and regulatory teams to ensure customer requirements are met and projects are executed successfully.
- Resolve customer issues by investigating concerns, proposing compliant solutions, and communicating outcomes.
- Represent the company professionally, acting as a liaison between pharmaceutical clients and internal departments.
- Stay informed on pharmaceutical industry trends, competitor offerings, and technological advancements.
- Provide regular updates to management through call reports, territory analyses, and itineraries.
- Support Accounts Receivable and Customer Service teams to minimize aged invoices and inventory.
- Perform additional duties and contribute to strategic initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: University degree or diploma in Packaging, Engineering, Electronics, Life Sciences, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of sales experience, ideally in pharmaceutical or regulated packaging industries.
- Familiarity: Experience working with top-tier pharmaceutical manufacturers and contract packaging organizations (CPOs).
- Skills & Competencies: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities; proven leadership and team collaboration; analytical thinking and problem-solving; project management and organizational skills; customer-centric mindset with a focus on execution and results; adaptability, innovation, and a growth-oriented attitude; high level of confidentiality and dependability; regulatory acumen in pharmaceutical packaging (e.g., 21 CFR Part 211, ISO 15378); bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish; entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, strategic approach to identifying opportunities, solving problems, and driving innovation in customer engagement and territory development.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. Flexibility to reach, bend, and move as needed.
- Travel Requirements: Extensive domestic and international travel required.
