Gender Justice League is currently seeking a Board Treasurer to support financial oversight, budgeting, accounting, and compliance for the organization.

About the role

Board members at Gender Justice League are thought leaders who help shape programs and strategy. As the governing body, the Board of Directors is collectively responsible for outlining strategic goals, supporting the Executive Director, reviewing and evaluating the annual budget, and contributing to fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial oversight for the organization
• Support budgeting, accounting, and compliance processes
• Participate in outlining GJL’s strategic goals
• Support the Executive Director
• Review and evaluate the annual budget
• Contribute to fundraising efforts (not mandatory to give directly)
• Attend monthly virtual board meetings (2-3 hours each)
• Dedicate an additional 1-2 hours per month for other board responsibilities

Schedule

• Monthly virtual board meetings (2-3 hours, currently held on the third Friday evening of each month)

Board members may be located anywhere in the U.S., as the organization operates virtually.
