Salads & Sandwiches

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Work quickly, efficiently and independently in all aspects of handmade prepared Salads & Sandwiches (following recipe and company high quality standards)
• Responsible for producing prepared Salads & Sandwiches in line with production schedule and re-size formulas for changes to production schedules
• Meet daily market demand for two or more locations with a team that can grow
• Consistently deliver highest quality product, demonstrating integrity in process and technique
• Responsible for department security and safety; monitors and guarantees proper sanitation and cleanliness
• Follows all Health Department Regulations
• Responsible for ensuring all prepared food items for retail are properly labeled and packaged for sale
• Maintains an open line of communication with all staff, keeping everyone current on department matters
• Adheres to the production schedule and communicates with Kitchen Manager if unable to execute schedule
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with all co-workers
• Handles, in a positive manner, those inherent levels of stress associated with employment situations

Physical Requirements

• Must repeatedly lift and/or move 50 pounds or more
• Constant lifting and bending
• Constant repetitive motion of wrists, hands, fingers, and joints
• Repeatedly stoops, kneels, bends, balances, reaches, crawls, and crouches while performing work duties
• Required to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
• Able to display athletic attributes throughout each workday

Qualifications

• Prior Food Production / Commercial Kitchen experience preferred
• Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe Certification preferred (if not, we will train you!)
• (if not, we will train you!)
• Basic knowledge of the English language for verbal and written communication preferred
• Ability to take criticism, work efficiently, and be adaptable to change
• Able to effectively manage emotions in the workplace
• Able to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends, & holidays
• Mathematical proficiency and analytical business skills to perform required functions
• Able to repetitively lift 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time
• Able to work effectively within a diverse group of people
• Willing and able to work with varieties of meats (ie pork, chicken, beef)
