About the role

Develop, test, and deliver client reports utilizing Sage Intacct Interactive Custom Report Writer, Interactive Visual Explorer, Custom Reports function, and Advanced Financial Reports within the Sage Intacct Platform. Provide technical expertise on complex implementation projects. Work closely with clients, Senior Consultants, and Project Managers to understand client business requirements and define best-practice reporting solutions on the Intacct Platform.

Plan, manage, and execute software implementations and training on reporting and document customizations. Provide friendly on-site and/or remote support for clients using Sage Intacct accounting software, including investigating and resolving user application questions and issues. Provide pre-sales support to identify client requirements, define scope, and provide estimates for various engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with Intacct Consulting project teams to design, develop, and test advanced reporting related to Sage Intacct.
  • Follow best practices and coding guidelines for reporting.
  • Ensure the safety and security of sensitive client information.
  • Participate in meetings to understand business requirements and report development objectives.
  • Provide guidance to clients and project teams regarding feasibility, complexity, and level of effort required to deliver solutions.
  • Assist Implementation Consultants and Project Managers with incorporating report development project plans into a master implementation project plan.
  • Execute specific tasks on the project work plan, including report design, document customization development, testing, installation, and documentation.
  • Create and deliver weekly status reports of report development progress to the Project Manager and Practice Manager.
  • Deliver project task responsibilities on schedule with integrity and the highest degree of client satisfaction.
  • Multi-task across projects, clients, and internal activities.
  • Provide on-site and/or remote support to users of Sage Intacct software applications, including researching sources of errors, resolving problems, and recommending program changes.
  • Answer client inquiries regarding Sage Intacct configurations, printing, and market partner integrations related to client reporting.
  • Test for compatibility and proper function of applications, including Sage-authorized third-party software products (Marketplace partner solutions).
  • Assist in the design or creation of ongoing data imports and exports related to client reports or custom documents.
  • Create custom reports using Intacct reporting tools, such as Financial Report Writer, Custom Reports, Interactive Custom Report Writer, and Excel.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Sage Intacct Software Certification and advanced training: ICRW (SQL strongly desired), IVE, Financial Reporting, Custom Documents.
  • Proficiency in Sage Intacct Accounting Software, Microsoft Office, and SaaS environments.
  • Experience with business information systems integration or custom business application design and development in a professional technology consulting or software development environment.
  • Experience assessing client requirements across accounting, inventory, order entry, and project management.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of a client’s organization.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills for analyzing highly technical problems within client systems.
  • Ability to complete effective business process reviews, including knowledge of internal business processes, general accounting, and operations across multiple industries.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction industry accounting experience.
  • Experience with XML-related technologies: XML, XSL, XSLT:FO, XQUERY, Velixo, etc.
  • Programming languages: Shell Scripting, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, etc.
  • Experience with HTML and Business Intelligence Software/Tools (Nectari, SEI, PowerBI).
  • Project management skills, including planning, tracking, and follow-through on multi-step/multi-phase projects.

Schedule
