Safety Training Manager

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain safety training programs for construction, electrical, commissioning, and industrial environments.
Create lesson plans, presentations, participant guides, evaluations, certification programs, and onboarding materials.
Maintain training matrices aligned to job responsibilities and risk exposure.
Ensure training content remains current with OSHA, NFPA 70E, ANSI, client requirements, and company policies.
Deliver classroom, virtual, and field-based safety training.
Conduct train-the-trainer programs and practical skills evaluations.
Support onboarding, refresher, annual, and certification-based training initiatives.
Coach supervisors and leaders on effective safety instruction and workforce development.
Develop qualification standards, written exams, and practical assessments.
Support maintenance of employee certifications, qualifications, and training records.
Cookordination requalification and competency verification programs for safety-critical work activities.
Support administration of the Learning Management System (LMS).
Generate training and regulatory compliance reports.
Analyze incident trends, audit findings, and performance data to identify training opportunities.
Update existing programs and develop new learning initiatives based on industry changes and lessons learned.
Measure and improve training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and established KPIs.
Partner closely with Safety Leadership, Operations Teams, Project Managers, Field Safety Managers, Commissioning & Engineering Teams, Human Resources, Clients, and Contractors.
Requirements
Aceessory or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Safety, Engineering, Education, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience and certifications considered.
8–10 years of progressive safety experience.
5+ years developing and delivering safety training programs.
Experience in construction safety and electrical safety environments.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, electrical commissioning, Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash safety, risk assessment, human performance improvement (HPI), and competency-based learning programs.
Strong knowledge of instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning principles.
Experience creating presentations, training materials, and learning content for technical audiences.
Advanced PowerPoint and presentation development skills; experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and training development tools such as Articulate Storyline/Rise, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
Ability to simplify technical information for diverse audiences.
Ability to travel up to 50%.
QualificationsPreferred certifications include CSP, ASP, CHST, CHSP, CHMM, OSHA Authorized Trainer (Construction), NFPA 70E Qualified Instructor, ATSSA Instructor, and First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor credentials.
Experience supporting hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, electrical commissioning, medium- and high-voltage electrical systems, construction management, engineering consulting, industrial manufacturing, utilities, renewable energy, or other critical infrastructure environments is strongly preferred.

Schedule
Position Title: Safety Training Manager
Position Location: When not traveling to project sites, this position may be performed remotely from anywhere within the United States. Must be located near a major airport.
Travel Requirements: Up to 50% domestic travel. Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to rent vehicles.
