Safety Training Manager
About the role
The Supply Chain Team at Fluidstack is looking for a Safety Training Specialist to design, deliver, and evaluate safety training across a high-automation manufacturing workforce. This role involves coaching supervisors and team leads on safety observation techniques, near-miss reporting, and behavior-based safety principles. The ideal candidate will also manage the training program budget and work with outside training providers and certification vendors, mentoring junior safety staff into program owners.
Responsibilities
- Own the facility compliance training calendar and LMS, ensuring all employees and roles remain compliant with OSHA or state-plan (ADOSH) training requirements.
- Develop leading and lagging training KPIs and report completion, competency, and compliance trends to plant leadership monthly.
- Design and deliver safety training for new hires, annual refreshers, and specialized certifications.
- Coach supervisors and team leads on safety observation techniques, near-miss reporting, and behavior-based safety principles.
- Manage the training program budget and work with outside training or certification vendors.
- Mentor junior safety staff into people who run their own programs.
- Own the LMS or compliance-tracking system and keep the workforce current against OSHA or state-plan (ADOSH) training requirements.
Requirements
- Built and run a safety training program from new hire orientation through specialized certifications, with zero compliance lapses.
- Coached frontline supervisors on safety observation and near-miss reporting.
- Managed a training budget and worked with outside training or certification vendors.
- Mentored junior safety staff into people who run their own programs.
- Owned an LMS or compliance-tracking system and kept a workforce current against OSHA or state-plan (ADOSH) training requirements.
- Built leading and lagging KPIs for a training or safety program and used them to change what leadership prioritized.
Qualifications
- Experience with human and organizational performance (HOP) frameworks.
- Instructional design or train-the-trainer certification.
- Authorized OSHA Outreach trainer (OSHA 500 or 501).
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry card.

- Ability to communicate technical safety content in a way shop-floor employees actually retain, not just check a box on.
