Safety Training Coordinator

About the role

Yancey Bros. Co., established in 1914, serves as the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia, providing comprehensive sales, parts, and service.

Responsibilities

• Create, administer, and coordinate training, development, and compliance processes for Yancey Engineered Solutions employees.
• Support Human Resources with New Hire Orientation and maintain New Hire check sheets.
• Manage and distribute training materials, coordinate events, and provide training resources.
• Maintain and update Learning Management Systems (LMS), including creating courses, updating training records, and managing passwords.
• Create and distribute reporting related to compliance, safety, and training.
• Collaborate with Safety and Training Departments on safety and training content.
• Provide safety and compliance information to employees as needed.
• Maintain supplies and work areas in the Training Department.
• Assist instructors and manage administrative tasks for safety and compliance filings.
• Participate in required safety programs and work safely.

Requirements

• One to two years as a training coordinator or administrative assistant, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar role.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience handling hotel reservations, catering events, and organizing meeting rooms for small and large groups is preferred.
• Able to act as Help Desk support on systems used by the Training Department.

• Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person.
• Ability to solve practical problems and handle various concrete variables.
• Desire to provide superior customer service.

Benefits

Typically works in a temperature-controlled office. Exposure to loud noises, vibrations, strong odors, flammable liquids and gases, oils and solvents may occur. Requires appropriate Personal Protection Equipment in the shop environment. Able to lift, carry, and lower up to 25 lbs. May be required to travel to other Yancey locations, though not a normal occurrence.
