Responsibilities
- Execute the site safety program on an assigned project.
- Educate and train Austin project staff in safety requirements and best practices in incident prevention.
- Ensure compliance with company and customer safety policies.
- Build working relationships with customer representatives, project staff, and subcontractor safety representatives.
- Aid in creating and maintaining accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents.
- Aid in staff safety training and subcontractor development.
- Represent the company positively and professionally with the customer and subcontractors.
- Create and facilitate safety training and orientations aligned with project specifics and schedules.
- Facilitate participation in safety organizations outside of the company and in assigned regions.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s current safety manual, policies, and expectations.
- Majority of time spent in the field observing work, coaching, auditing, and engaging craft employee-owners.
- Fill in for site HSE manager during absences.
- Participate in resolving safety problems and issues in the field.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
- Physical Demands: Regularly sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications
- No minimum education requirements.
- 4 years of maintenance and construction safety experience.
- A valid Driver’s License, TWIC Card, and CSST/NCCER certification.
