Safety Tech - Austin Industrial - (La Porte, tX)

Responsibilities

• Execute the site safety program on an assigned project.
• Educate and train Austin project staff in safety requirements and best practices in incident prevention.
• Affirm compliance with company and customer safety policies.
• Build working relationships with customer representatives, project staff, and subcontractor safety representatives.
• Aid in creating accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents.
• Afford staff safety training and subcontractor development.
• Represent the company positively and professionally with the customer and subcontractors.
• Create and facilitate safety training and orientations aligned with project specifics and schedules.
• Facilitate participation in safety organizations outside of the company and in assigned regions.
• Affirm compliance with the company’s current safety manual, policies, and expectations.
• Majority of time spent in the field observing work, coaching, auditing, and engaging craft employee-owners.
• Fill in for site HSE manager during absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
• Valid Driver’s License, TWIC Card, and CSST/NCCER certification.

Qualifications

• No minimum education requirements.
• 4 years of maintenance and construction safety experience.
