Job Responsibilities
- Conduct regular jobsite safety audits to identify existing and potential hazards
- Serve as a safety resource by providing technical guidance, coaching and mentoring to field associates
- Deliver safety training and maintain accurate training records
- Assist with the development and implementation of safety plans and project orientations
- Participate in project planning, pre-task, and jobsite meetings to ensure safety risks are identified, communicated, and addressed
- Assist with incident reporting and investigations
- Assist with ordering, distributing, and maintaining safety equipment and supplies
Skills
- Experience with developing and facilitating safety training
- Ability to engage, communicate and positively influence others across the entire workforce
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness and ability to travel and work varied shifts and out-of-town assignments as needed
Education/Experience
- 3-5 years construction safety experience with the proven ability to identify workable solutions to eliminate hazards
- 30 Hour OSHA Certification
- CHST certification or similar preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Management, or related field preferred
