About the role

The Safety Specialist supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs across Hydromax USA. This role provides technical expertise, conducts risk assessments, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements to promote a safe work environment. The Safety Specialist collaborates with site leadership and employees to drive safety initiatives, reduce workplace incidents, and build a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs across Hydromax USA.
  • Provides technical expertise, conducts risk assessments, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements to promote a safe work environment.
  • Collaborates with site leadership and employees to drive safety initiatives, reduce workplace incidents, and build a strong safety culture.
  • Trains employees on safety protocols and best practices.
  • Conducts regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Investigates workplace incidents, analyzes root causes, and develops corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Reports safety-related data and trends to senior management and participates in safety meetings.
  • Ensures consistent application of company safety standards across all operations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a safety management role within a utility or similar industry.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
