Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Check forklifts, racking systems, loading docks, and conveyor belts regularly.
• Enforce safe lifting techniques, proper hazardous material storage, and clear foot-traffic lanes.
• Teach employees proper forklift operation, emergency evacuation procedures, and the correct use of safety gear.
• Analyze warehouse accidents, equipment failures, and slips and falls to identify root causes.
• Ensure full compliance with warehouse-specific regulations, including OSHA storage and logistics standards.
• Manage security checkpoints, verify employee credentials, and maintain visitor logs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field is preferred.
• A deep understanding of local and federal regulations, including OSHA guidelines, is required.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills to communicate with staff and report to leadership.
• A background in warehouse operations and material handling safety is a plus.
• The ability to walk long distances on hard warehouse floors is necessary.
• Previous compliance (Safety or U.S. CBP-related) experience is a plus.

Pay

The base salary range for this role is between $65,000-$75,000 yearly, and your base salary will depend on your experiences, qualifications, and skills.
